Elbit, Boeing Sign Agreement on Self-Defense Aircraft Systems

JERUSALEM--Israel-based defense contractor Elbit Systems Ltd.
(ESLT) and Boeing Co. (BA) said Tuesday they have signed an
agreement to cooperate on self-defense systems for military
aircraft.
Under the memorandum of understanding, the companies will offer
Elbit's Directed Infrared Counter Measure (DIRCM) systems for
Boeing's military aircraft. The systems protect aircraft from
missiles and other battlefield threats.
At 1040 GMT, shares of Elbit were down 0.30 shekels, or 0.21%,
at ILS142.70 ($38.60), in a lower Tel Aviv market.
