John Melanson, Academy Award-winning distinguished fellow with Cirrus Logic Inc. (Nasdaq:CRUS), recently joined an elite group of innovators when he passed the threshold of achieving 100 patents. Melanson, 54, was recently awarded his 100th and 101st patent in a career that spans more than 30 years in the semiconductor and electronics industry. The majority of Melanson�s patents were awarded for innovations in audio technologies, with many additional patents awarded in the fields of industrial and analog electronics.
