UniCredit SpA said Wednesday that it has appointed Serenella De Candia as chief compliance officer for the group.

The Italian bank said Ms. De Candia's appointment would be effective from Dec. 1.

Ms. De Candia will succeed Carlo Appetiti in the role.

UniCredit added that head of group regulatory affairs Guglielmo Zadra would succeed Ms. De Candia as head of internal audit from Dec. 1.
