Digital Learning Management Partners with Cal State Fullerton's
Center for the Study of Emerging Markets Certified Graduate Foreign
Nursing Students Virtual Training Program Enrollment Increasing
Rapidly LOS ANGELES, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Digital
Learning Management Corporation (Digital) (OTC:DGTL) (BULLETIN
BOARD: DGTL) announced today that its Certified Graduate Foreign
Nursing Students (CGFNS) program partner host has opened its
seventh Indian based recruiting center and has enrolled over 75
students. Digital estimates the potential market for nurses it
places to be in the millions of dollars, as placement fees for a
qualified nurse range anywhere from $7,000 to $22,000. Training and
placement of only 1000 nurses per year could produce revenues in
excess of $20 million dollars. "There is an alarming shortage of
nurses in the U.S. that is only expected to intensify over the next
decade. Couple this with a decrease in the number of students
enrolling in domestic nursing programs and you have a serious
problem", stated Zeb Bhatti, CEO of Digital. "Digital, in
partnership with CSEM, Cal State Fullerton, has created a Virtual
Campus for CGNFS exam preparation using our proprietary Virtual
University System. Through this campus, we are creating
opportunities for education and placement of foreign nurses within
the U.S., which should prove to be a significant source of revenue
for the company." Digital's implementation of this Virtual Campus
relatively quickly and at an extremely reasonable cost represents
an important validation for the company's E-Learning System,
Coursemate(TM) LMS. Digital currently offers over 200 hours of
preparatory coursework for Certified Graduate Foreign Nursing
Students through the system. "Students located in cities throughout
India, tens of thousands of miles away, are taking the CGFNS
coursework utilizing our Virtual University System", commented
Bhatti. According to the latest projections from the U.S. Bureau of
Labor Statistics published in the February 2004 Monthly Labor
Review, more than one million new and replacement nurses will be
needed by 2012. For the first time, the U.S. Department of Labor
has identified Registered Nursing as the top occupation in terms of
job growth through the year 2012.
