Stream to Reduce Sergeant Bluff Workforce

Stream Global Services, Inc., (NYSE AMEX:SGS), a leading, global business process outsource (BPO) service provider specializing in customer relationship management services for Fortune 1000 companies, today announced that it will reduce its workforce in its Sergeant Bluff, Iowa service center by approximately 246 employees, effective May 15, 2011. Stream currently employs approximately 843 employees in the Iowa service center. The affected workers were notified today.

The reduction in positions is a result of an overall decline in volume by one of Stream’s clients. Stream continues to provide services on behalf of this client from several of its other service centers around the globe.

“While it is unfortunate to have to eliminate these positions at our Sergeant Bluff service center, we hope to replace those positions soon as we win new business,” said Darla Bond, Stream’s vice president, HR operations, Americas.

Stream’s Sergeant Bluff service center provides customer service and technical support for the North American market. Stream currently supports clients in the technology, online retail and entertainment/media industries out of its Sergeant Bluff service center.
