The following table lists unplanned and planned production
outages at U.S. refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The
information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining
sources and doesn't purport to be a comprehensive list.
Chevron Corp. experienced a fire at the crude unit at its
refinery in Richmond, Calif., on Nov. 14. The company said the fire
had no impact on supply.
Alon USA Energy Inc. restarted its refinery in Krotz Spring,
La., on Nov. 14 after nearly two weeks of maintenance, according to
a government filing made public Nov. 15.
Valero Energy Corp. on Nov. 14 said that it completed the
maintenance turnaround at its refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas,
and that production for the crude distillation unit and coker unit
were nearing planned rates.
Valero Energy Corp. on Nov. 14 said there was no material impact
to supply after its refinery in Port Arthur, Texas, reported
flaring during the weekend.
BP PLC's (BP, BP.LN) Cherry Point oil refinery in Ferndale,
Washington, resumed normal operating rates following month-long
turnaround maintenance at a hydrocracker unit, two delayed coking
units, two reformer units and other process units, a source said on
Nov. 9. Catalyst regeneration was done also.
Shell's (RDSA, RDSB) Puget Sound refinery in Anacortes,
Washington, has resumed normal operations after seven weeks of
planned work, sources said on Nov. 10.
Sunoco Inc. (SUN) said a key gasoline-making unit at the Girard
Point section of it's oil refinery in Philadelphia was temporarily
off-line and restarted on Nov 9 due to a mechanical problem, a
filing to Pennsylvania state environmental regulators said.
Tesoro Corp. (TSO) said planned flaring will take place between
Nov. 10 and Nov. 16 at its 110,000 barrel-a-day refinery in
Wilmington, Calif., a filing to the South Coast Air Quality
Management District said.
Pasadena Refining Systems Inc. on Nov. 8 said all units at its
oil refinery in Pasadena, Texas, are back at normal operating rates
after shutting down on Sept. 30 following a fire at the plant's
crude unit.
Total SA will extend a maintenance turnarond currently underway
at its Port Arthur refinery to around Nov. 9, a source said Oct.
26. The work on the refinery's crude unit and FCCU was originally
scheduled to finish by Nov 5.
Valero Energy Corp. on Oct. 21 said previously announced
turnaround maintenance at a crude distillation unit and a coker
unit began at its oil refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas. The
turnaround is expected to conclude in three weeks.
