Item 8.01 – Other Events

On August 28, 2023, Oncocyte Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that Palmetto GBA, a Medicare Administrative Contractor for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), has issued its final local coverage decision for the Company’s VitaGraft™ Kidney test, confirming that the test has met the criteria for coverage under MolDX: Molecular Testing for Solid Organ Allograft Rejection (L38568). A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
