--Royal Dutch Shell PLC has dropped plans to develop the North
Sea Cambo oil project off the Shetland Isles, Sky News reports.
--The oil giant scrapped its plans after concluding the economic
case wasn't strong enough, though the project was a focal point for
environmental campaigners, Sky News reports.
--Shell co-owned the field with 70% owner and operator Siccar
Point Energy Ltd., which separately confirmed Shell wouldn't
progress its investment, Sky News reports.
