BWX Technologies Shares Rise 6% After Contract From Energy Department

BWX Technologies Inc. shares were up 6% to $59 Thursday after
the company said it received a contract with an estimated ceiling
of $21 billion over a 10-year ordering period from the U.S.
Department of Energy.
The company said the contract is for environmental management
operations at the Savannah River site in South Carolina.
The DOE gave the award for the Savannah River Site Integrated
Mission Completion Contract to Savannah River Mission Completion
LLC, which is a joint venture led by a BWX subsidiary and includes
subsidiaries of Amentum and Fluor Corp.
BWX Technologies said the scope of work for the contract
includes liquid waste stabilization/disposition and potentially
nuclear materials management and stabilization, among other
requirements.
