AUBURN HILLS, Mich.,
Dec. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Designed for ultimate
performance, BorgWarner's advanced performance aftermarket
turbochargers are trusted by motorsport and performance enthusiasts
as well as everyday drivers seeking improved engine output.
At this year's Performance Racing Industry (PRI) trade show in
Indianapolis from Dec. 6 to Dec. 8, 2018, the company will showcase
its extensive lineup of Engineered For Racing (EFR™) and AirWerks®
Series turbochargers, including new, higher-power offerings, at
booth number 2341.
"Across the racing industry, BorgWarner's EFR and AirWerks
turbochargers are recognized for their superior performance," said
Michael Boe, Vice President and
General Manager, BorgWarner Turbo Systems Aftermarket. "PRI is the
perfect venue to showcase our state-of-the-art turbochargers
because the trade show brings the motorsports world together for
the three days, giving attendees the opportunity to connect with
industry leaders, product experts and learn about the latest
product and technology innovations."
On Thursday, Dec. 6, at
11:30 am the Borg-Warner Trophy™ will
visit the booth along with sculptor William
Behrends and 2018 Indianapolis 500 champion Will Power. Behrends and Power will answer
questions from the media about the sculpting process to add
Will Power's face to the trophy. The
Borg-Warner Trophy with Will Power's
likeness will be unveiled at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum
the night before, Wednesday, Dec. 5
at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time
(EST). BorgWarner is the Official Turbocharger Partner of the
Verizon IndyCar Series with its Engineered for Racing (EFR)
turbocharger. BorgWarner's innovative engineering and materials
expertise are race proven, with more than 1.25 million trouble-free
miles since 2012, on high-speed oval tracks, road courses, street
courses and short oval tracks.
New to PRI this year, BorgWarner will display its new EFR
super-cores, the EFR 8474, EFR 9274 and EFR 9280, which maximize
air flow in the turbocharger via larger compressor inducer wheel
diameters, among other design changes to the compressor stage. The
latest EFR super-cores will provide up to 200 more horsepower (hp)
than previous products.
BorgWarner also will present its newly available AirWerks
S300SX-E 72 millimeter (mm) super-core, its most powerful S300
aftermarket super-core to date. While maintaining the same compact
size and near identical ultra-fast response time, the S300SX-E 72
mm super-core can deliver up to 1,100 horsepower, an extra 100
horsepower more than its next highest model.
Show attendees will want to check out Alexa Taylor's DNA Racing "Badmaro" a 1968
Chevrolet Camaro with twin BorgWarner AirWerks 72mm S300 SX-E
turbochargers. The vehicle will be on display in the booth
throughout the show, with Alexa
Taylor stopping by the company's booth periodically to
answer questions.
The newest volume of the company's High-performance Turbocharger
Catalog, volume 9, showcases BorgWarner's latest power-packed
products, including detailed product information on all EFR and
AirWerks products, and the company's history of innovation in the
