BOCA RATON, Fla., Oct. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Cross Country
Healthcare, Inc. (NASDAQ: CCRN) is once again proudly
partnering with Project Perfect World Foundation (PPW) for a fifth
charitable medical mission trip to Guayaquil, Ecuador. The
mission will take place during the week of October 7 – 16,
2017 and will be attended by Brenda Duncan,
RN and Richard Fowler, RN, who are Cross Country's
contribution to the Project Perfect World's medical team. Both
Brenda and Richard left on Saturday, October
7th to begin their mission in Ecuador and will be assisting in performing
Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery on 30-40 children at Roberto Gilbert
Hospital.
Project Perfect World's mission is to improve the health of the
world's children through medical intervention, mentoring with local
medical colleagues and infrastructure development. Since 1995,
Project Perfect World has funded at least two trips a year trips to
perform maxillofacial, dental, and orthopedic surgery on children
who would not otherwise be able to receive the care they need. This
amazing organization works with a highly skilled group of
healthcare volunteers who donate their time and talents to serving
these children.
Our selected nurses have both previously traveled abroad on
similar missions. Richard, an OR nurse with 28 years of experience,
traveled to Hebron and
Ramallah in the West Bank, while Brenda, an OR nurse with 14
years of experience and 24 travel assignments, represented Cross
Country Healthcare during last year's Project Perfect World
mission.
"Cross Country Healthcare is honored to be assisting on our
fifth Project Perfect World mission. When our nurses return home
and share their incredible stories with us, it reminds us why we
remain focused on placing the highest quality healthcare
professionals. We share Project Perfect World's vision on improving
patients' lives and making a difference," explains Vickie Anenberg, President of Cross Country
Staffing, a Cross Country Healthcare company.
Both Brenda and Richard will be sharing their experience upon
their return on October 16, 2017 at
10:00am at the Cross Country Staffing
headquarters located at 6551 Park of Commerce Blvd. Boca Raton, FL 33487.
