Kohl’s Donates $250,000 to the Japanese Red Cross Society for Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Efforts

Today Kohl’s Department
Stores (NYSE: KSS) announced a
$250,000 cash donation toward earthquake and tsunami relief efforts
in Japan. Kohl’s is providing the donation to the Japanese Red
Cross Society, which is delivering much-needed emergency supplies
and services in the earthquake and tsunami impacted areas.
“As a family-focused department store, our hearts go out to the
tens of thousands of families impacted by the catastrophic loss
caused by the devastating earthquake and tsunami,” said Julie
Gardner, Kohl’s executive vice president and chief marketing
officer. “The loss is great, the need is immense, and Kohl’s is
proud to be in a position to help during this tragedy. As relief
efforts continue in the weeks and months to come, we hope the
financial assistance will provide needed support during this
challenging time.”
