ComCam Teams with HealthSourceOne in Remote Medical Monitoring
Venture WEST CHESTER, Pa., Nov. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
ComCam, Inc. (OTC:CMCA) (BULLETIN BOARD: CMCA) (Frankfurt: CMCA.F)
today announced a cross licensing and joint development venture
with Strela Development AG of Switzerland for inclusion of ComCam
core technology in the HealthSourceOne platform of remote medical
diagnostic products and services. Under the terms of the
relationship, ComCam will license their technology to
HealthSourceOne for use in tele-medical markets. Strela will
license to ComCam sensor technology for use in non-medical markets.
This agreement formalizes the relationship between the two
companies that began at their first joint public presentation at
The World Conference of the European Respiratory Society in
Florence, Italy in August 2000. According to ComCam CEO Don
Gilbreath, "The emergent tele-medical market has been gaining
attention recently. ComCam provides the video networking platform
that integrates live bio-measurements for safe wireless data
transfer on one side of the process, and we enable the storage and
distribution on the other side. The ComCam platform effectively
turns all the sensor arrays and measurement equipment into IP
addressable data acquisition devices with video. This venture
validates our technologies in web-based environments. We look
forward to leveraging our know-how with Strela, a true innovator in
the medial products arena." Strela Development AG HealthSourceOne
is an open platform health monitoring and medical data
communications system that works with various medical sensor
products for data collection, alarming, reporting, archiving, and
data mining. These products support various medical applications
including sports medicine, preventive care of the elderly, and the
home monitoring of risk patients. ComCam develops and provides
innovative remote video and control products, solutions, and
services to the growing global market for fixed and mobile security
as well as the transportation, process control, and medical
markets. In 2000 the Company introduced the world's first 802.11
wireless cameras and the world's smallest IP network video servers.
ComCam builds channel partnerships with systems integrators of all
sizes. Some direct clients, including the Department of Defense and
various U.S. Navy and Army divisions, use ComCam products in
tactical systems and research for land, air, and undersea
applications. ComCam products are currently deployed for Homeland
Security uses ranging from simple access control to advanced
measurement solutions for weather stations, remote analysis, and
next-generation CCTV. This release may contain forward-looking
statements relating to future financial results. Actual results may
differ materially as a result of factors over which the company has
no control. These risk factors and additional information are
