ICMA-RC has been providing Lighthouse Point firefighters and employees with retirement investments and services since 1978. When Designing Spaces approached ICMA-RC about co-sponsoring the program to improve the fire station, ICMA-RC agreed it was important for the firefighters, whose engine bears the inscription "Caring, Serving, Protecting", to get a modern and comfortable place to work, eat and catch up on their sleep between putting out fires and serving their community.

"Participating in the Designing Spaces makeover was an exciting way for ICMA-RC and others in the community to help the Lighthouse Point firefighters improve their firehouse, where they live and work," said ICMA-RC Senior Vice President, Catherine Leggett.  "We thank the Lighthouse Point firefighters for their important service and hope the newly renovated fire house will help improve their daily routines and allow them to continue to bravely serve the community."

For a behind-the-scenes look at the fire station's exciting transformation, watch this video created by ICMA-RC on the set of Designing Spaces featuring David Donzella, the Lighthouse Point fire chief; Yolanda Flores, Lighthouse Point's ICMA-RC Retirement Plan Specialist and ICMA-RC's Catherine Leggett.
