          Venture Completes Placing of Shares by Existing Shareholders



The Board of Venture is pleased to announce the placing on behalf of certain
major shareholders of 14 million shares, representing approximately 13% of the
issued share capital of Venture. The shares were placed with institutional
clients by Oriel Securities Limited.

Bruce Dingwall, Chief Executive, commented:

"We are delighted to have broadened our shareholder base and to have
significantly improved the market liquidity of Venture shares through this
placing. We are pleased that some of our founder shareholders have had the
opportunity to realise part of their holdings whilst still retaining the
