Director/Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility ('PDMRs') Shareholdings

Notification under DR 3.1.4(R)(1)(b)

On 21 April 2008, Michael Wagstaff received an allocation of 90,483 ordinary
shares (0.06% of the issued share capital) in the Company in accordance with the
rules of the Annual Deferred Share Bonus Plan (the 'Plan'). The allocation of
shares was satisfied by the transfer of 90,483 ordinary shares in the Company
from the Venture Production IOM Employee Benefit Trust

Rather than sell sufficient shares to cover his income tax and national
insurance Mr Wagstaff self-funded these liabilities which amounted to � 255,791, 
the equivalent of 37,098 ordinary shares at a price of 689.5 pence each (the 
MMQ at the close of business on 21 April 2008).

Following this transaction, Michael Wagstaff's interests in the shares of the
Company is as follows:

During April 2008 a number of Directors have increased their interests in the
Company's shares, either through the purchase of additional shares or by funding
the income tax and national insurance liabilities related to the receipt of
shares under the Annual Deferred Share Bonus Plan. (see RNS of 8 April 2008)
