                               Board Appointment


Following the appointment of Peter Turner as Finance Director in place of
Marie-Louise Clayton, announced on 15 November 2007, the Board of
Venture Production plc is pleased to confirm his appointment to the Board of
Directors with immediate effect.

Marie-Louise steps down from the Board today and will leave the Company on 31
December 2007.
