                      AGM TRADING UPDATE

At the Annual General Meeting held today, David Newbigging,
Chairman, made the following comments in relation to current
trading:

"At the Preliminary Results Announcement in March, the Company
reported  a  modest growth in like for like revenues  for  the
first eight weeks of the current financial year.  I can report
today that this trend has continued for the first 16 weeks  of
this year.

We  continue to make good progress with the initiatives  which
were  outlined in the Annual Report - to develop  the  Thistle
brand,  to  continue the programme of hotel  upgrades  and  to
complete   the  improvement  of  our  information   technology
systems".
