Clarification of newspaper reports

The Board of BIL International Limited ("BIL") notes the press speculation over
the weekend regarding its stake in Thistle Hotels PLC ("Thistle").

BIL wishes to advise that it is not true that BIL is engaged in talks and/or
negotiations with Orb Estates Plc to dispose BIL's 46% stake in Thistle.
