    SDL plc ("the Company") was advised that Mark Lancaster, Chairman and Chief Executive, purchased 96,250 ordinary shares at a price of
219p per share on Friday 14th November 2008. Following this transaction Mr Lancaster has increased his beneficial holdings in the Company
from 102,588 (representing 0.14% of the Company's issued share capital) to 198,838 (0.26% of the Company's issued share capital).

The Company was also advised that John Hunter, Chief Financial Officer, purchased 28,750 ordinary shares at a price of 219p per share on
Friday 14th November 2008. This represents 0.04% of the Company's issued share capital.
