New SDL shares issued pursuant to Lingua Franca acquisition


SDL plc announces that 56,043 new ordinary shares have been issued pursuant to
the acquisition of the business of Lingua Franca announced on 18 April 2005. An
application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock
Exchange for admission to the Official List for the listing of these new
ordinary shares. These shares, will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary
shares in issue. It is expected that admission will become effective on 20 April
2007.
