For Immediate Release:

SDL plc ("SDL") partnership agreement with ICL

SDL plc (London: SDL), one of the leading providers of globalization
technology and services, and ICL, the leading IT solutions company, today
announced that the companies have signed a partnership agreement to resell
SDL's multilingual content management system, SDLWebFlow.

Under the terms of the agreement, ICL will be able to offer SDL's system to
consulting and IT services clients and covers ICL's EMEA operations. ICL will
provide first-line support for the system. The agreement includes SDL and ICL
carrying out joint promotion and marketing. ICL will also be using the
software to support their own website with foreign language translations, as
required.

ICL selected SDLWebFlow globalization management solutions because of SDL's
ability to provide a complete solution to manage internationalised content and
translation support services, as required by individual clients.

Commenting on the agreement, Gloria Evans, Business Manager for e-Knowledge at
ICL, said:

"We chose SDL International because it offered ICL the opportunity to deliver
the complex, multilingual and multicultural systems required to support
today's global organisations. Global organisations are increasingly looking
for a single solution to their globalization needs in this area. This
well-organised and committed partnership provides great benefit to our
customers in terms of both the implementation process and access to
technology."

Hedley Rees-Evans, Marketing Director Europe, SDL, confirmed:

"To have such a prestigious partner as ICL working with us in this way
highlights SDL's expertise in the globalization management market. We look
forward to working with their global management consulting teams and building
successful solutions for their clients."

SDLWebFlow reduces the cost of translation and time-to-market for the delivery
of multilingual content, by employing specialist 'computer-aided translation'
techniques, such as Translation Memory and Real-time Translation. The system
detects changes in any original content, and manages the update process into
the new languages automatically.
