Branded hotel operator, The Real Hotel Company plc (LSE: RHC), today held its Annual General Meeting at New Connaught Rooms in London,
which are part of the group's operations.

The Company confirms that all the resolutions placed before the meeting were passed.

Speaking at the AGM, Chief Executive Michael Prager commented:

"We have achieved a number of important milestones in the transformation of the company over the past year. The launch of Purple Hotels
and an exit from the loss-making UK Master Franchise Agreement being two.

We reported a positive first quarter in our Interim Management Statement. The second quarter of the year saw more difficult market
conditions which we believe to apply throughout the remainder of 2008.

The deal we reached with Whitbread plc to sell three hotels for �18.6m underlines the value inherent in our business. In a clearly
difficult trading environment we will look for further creative disposals and stronger performance particularly from the Purple brand."
