p.l.c ("the Company") sold 36,145 ordinary shares of 1p each in Prospect Japan
Fund Ltd ("Prospect Japan") on 30 March 2004.

This Company's total holding in Prospect Japan is now 2,009,491 shares.  Based
on our understanding that Prospect Japan has approximately 10,741,000 shares in
issue, this represents 18.71% the issued ordinary share capital of Prospect       
Japan.

The shares are registered in the name of JP Morgan CREST A/C BT01C.
