August 1999, under the Companies Act 1985 Section 198 that the interest of
Norwich Union Group in the ordinary share capital of the Company is 15,577,031
shares which represents 3.01 per cent. of the total ordinary issued share
capital. 

The interests are disclosed on behalf of Norwich Union plc as the ultimate
holding company of the Norwich Union Group, and the companies, being the
registered holders, referred to below:
