Tempus Group PLC ("Tempus") has received notification that, following the
purchase of 145,000 ordinary shares of 5p each in Tempus ("Tempus Shares") on 20
March 2000, the Norwich Union Group and Norwich Union plc had an interest in
2,908,505 Tempus shares, representing 4.10% of the issued capital of Tempus.

The notification stated the shares concerned to be registered as follows:
