                       Result of Placing and Open Offer
                                       
Network Technology PLC, is pleased to announce the result of the Placing and
Open Offer, underwritten by Singer & Friedlander Limited, which closed at
3.00pm yesterday.

Of the 3,481,000 new ordinary shares issued in connection with the Placing and
Open Offer, 1,342,644 new ordinary shares were placed firm with institutional
and other investors.  A further 1,180,356 new ordinary shares representing the
Directors' entitlements under the Open Offer were also placed firm.

Of the remaining 958,000 new ordinary shares available to the other qualifying
shareholders, valid applications were received in respect of 244,280 new
ordinary shares representing 25.5 per cent. of the remaining new ordinary
shares available under the Open Offer.  The balance of 713,720 new ordinary
shares has been subscribed for by institutional and other investors.

Trading in the existing and new ordinary shares is expected to commence on the
Official List today.
