                 Metalrax Group PLC ("Metalrax" or the "Group") 
 
                            Appointment of Chairman 
 
Metalrax, the niche supplier of specialist engineering and consumer durable 
products, is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Boyd as 
Non-executive Chairman of Metalrax Group PLC with effect from the 1st March 
2010. Stephen Boyd will replace John Crabtree, OBE, who has chaired the board 
since 2003. John will step down from the board on 31st March 2010. 
 
Stephen Boyd, a chemical engineer aged 60, currently holds a number of non 
executive positions including Pure Wafer plc (AIM listed), Pittards plc (AIM 
listed) and Chaucer Foods Limited. He spent the formative years of his executive 
career at Thorn Electrical Industries Plc, BOC Group PLC and Courtaulds PLC in 
operational roles. His last executive role was as group chief executive of 
Capital Industries PLC, the GBP100m turnover label and containers business which 
he left in 1999. 
 
Andrew Richardson, Chief Executive of Metalrax, said:
