Leyshon Resources intersects further high grade epithermal veins at its Zheng
Guang gold zinc project, China
* Further High Grade intersections obtained including:
- 14 metres at 3.48 g/t gold, 23 g/t silver and 4.12% zinc; and
- 5 metres at 14.55 g/t gold, 36 g/t silver and 4.95% zinc.
* Angled drilling provides a better understanding of the structural
controls and more accurate estimations of the high grade gold and
zinc veins.
* Additional results on the remaining 37 holes are expected to be
released shortly.
Leyshon Resources Limited ("Leyshon") (ASX & AIM: LRL) today announces that it
has intersected further high grade epithermal veins during its drill programme
to extend the 1.2 million ounce Zheng Guang gold zinc project in Heilongjiang,
northeast China.
Results from holes ZGD109, 114, 115 and 116 located to the north west of the
Main Ore Zone include the following significant intersections:
ZGD115 14 metres at 3.48 g/t gold, 23 g/t silver and 4.12% zinc; and
ZGD116 5 metres at 14.55 g/t gold, 36 g/t silver and 4.95% zinc.
Hole ZGD109 intersected over 44 metres of epithermal veins within a 171 metre
zone, ZGD115 intersected 36 metres within in a 103 metre zone and ZGD 116
intersected 23 metres within in an 86 metre zone.
The drill programme is expected to be concluded late October, 2006 and to date,
assay results from 13 out of 49 holes drilled have been released including the
recent bonanza grade intersection from hole ZGD113 grading 600.75 g/t gold, 445
g/t silver and 5.34% zinc.
Further results on the remaining drill holes will be released shortly.
Angled drilling is providing a better understanding of the structural controls
and a more accurate estimate of the true width and grade of the steeply dipping
high grade gold and zinc veins that make up a large proportion of the Zheng
Guang resource.
Managing Director Paul Atherley commenting today said "This fourth set of
results from the 2006 drilling programme continues to show the significant
potential to be realized at the Zheng Guang gold zinc project. The density of
the epithermal veins are much higher than originally thought and we expect that
this will have a very positive impact on the new resource estimate."

Notes to editor -
Zheng Guang has been interpreted as carbonate base metal gold deposit. These
types of deposit represent some of the most prolific producers in the south west
Pacific Rim and elsewhere. High to bonanza gold grades, such as those recently
reported, can be expected to form part of this style of mineralisation.
This year's programme is the largest to be undertaken in Heilongjiang in recent
years and comprises 10,000 metres of diamond drilling and 20,000 metres of
reverse circulation drilling.
The programme is expected to increase the initial inferred resource estimate of
930,000 ounces gold, 64,000 tonnes zinc and 2.6 million ounces silver (1.2
million equivalent based on 1 g/t gold = 1% zinc) which was estimated on the
results from the 2005 programme.
Leyshon has recently entered into a 20 year joint venture agreement with the
Qiqiha'er Brigade for the financing development and mining of the Zheng Guang
Project. Leyshon remains one of the very few foreign resource companies with its
main operating office in Beijing.
The information in this report relating to Exploration Results, Mineral
Resources or Ore Reserves is based on information compiled by Mr Malcolm Wilson,
a full time employee of the Company, who is a member of the Australasian
Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
Mr Wilson has sufficient experience which is relevant to the style of
mineralisation and type of deposit under consideration and to the activity which
he is undertaking to qualify as a Competent Person as defined in the 2004
Edition of the 'Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral
Resources and Ore Reserves'. Mr Wilson consents to the inclusion in the report
of the matters based on his information in the form and context in which it
appears.
Diamond Drilling Programme
To 24 September, 45 diamond drill holes have been completed with 4 currently
being drilled. Total metres drilled to date in 2006 is 11,832. Hole locations
