High Grade Gold and Zinc Intersections Extend Zheng Guang Mineralisation

Leyshon Resources Limited ("Leyshon") (ASX & AIM: LRL) today reports very
encouraging first results from a major drill programme at the Zheng Guang
gold-zinc-silver project in Heilongjiang, northeast China.

Sixteen diamond drill holes totaling nearly 4,000 metres have confirmed several
high grade intersections from last year's programme and have extended the
mineralisation along strike and down dip. A fourth diamond drill has been
mobilized to further test these extensions.

The results from the first 380 samples out of over 1,000 sent for analysis
include several high grade zinc and gold intersections as detailed in the table
of significant assays below. Further results will be reported shortly.

A feature of this year's programme is the change to the exclusive use of angle
drilling which proved so successful at intersecting the steeply dipping high
grade veins towards the end of last year's programme.

ZGD102 intersected the previously reported high grade mineralisation in ZGD028
at a greater intersection angle which will provide a more accurate
interpretation of vein width and grade.

ZGD102 has confirmed the high grade mineralisation in this section. This hole
and nearby holes will confirm key areas that host a significant percentage of
the Main Ore Zone resource.

ZGD103 has confirmed and extended mineralisation intersected in ZGD060 as well
as infilled mineralisation between holes ZGD060 and ZGD069.

ZGD104 has confirmed the mineralisation intersected in ZGD079 and has extended
it to the east.

As a result of these early successes a fourth diamond drill has been mobilized
and on site personnel increased to over 100 to further test extensions of the
Main Ore Zone.

A Reverse Circulation programme designed to delineate and extend the recently
discovered oxide zones has commenced and will be reported on as results come to
hand. This shallow gold mineralisation, which appears as an extensive blanket up
to 20 metres deep, has the potential to be economically significant.

This year's programme is the largest to be undertaken in Heilongjiang in recent
years and is expected to increase the recently reported initial inferred
recoverable resource estimate of 930,000 ounces gold, 64,000 tonnes zinc and 2.6
million ounces silver.

Discovered in 2000 and located between the Duobaoshan porphyry copper project
eight kilometres to the north and possible epithermal gold to the south, Zheng
Guang has been interpreted as a complex mesothermal carbonate gold-base metal
deposit.

Managing Director Paul Atherley commented: "These early results are extremely
encouraging as they increase the confidence levels in the previously announced
resource estimates and importantly show very encouraging signs that the Main Ore
Zone will be extended along strike and down dip along the 1.25 kilometre highly
mineralised corridor."

Leyshon has firmly established its presence in China over the past two years and
is pioneering the opening up of the mineral rich province of Heilongjiang to
modern exploration techniques and foreign investment.

The Company has recently entered into a 20 year joint venture agreement with the
Qiqihar Brigade for the financing development and mining of Zheng Guang. Leyshon
remains one of the very few foreign resource companies with its main operating
office in Beijing.
