FBD Holdings plc wishes to announce that on the 8th September 2005, it
transferred 152,000 treasury shares to employees who exercised share options.



The shares were transferred at a lowest price of Euro2.35 and highest price of
Euro4.60.



After the transaction, the Company holds 1,219,900 treasury shares and the total
number of shares in issue, less the total number of treasury shares held by the
Company, amounts to 38,041,306.
