KEYWORDS STUDIOS PLC (KWS.LN), a technical services provider to
the video games industry, Friday said first-half adjusted pretax
profit has declined to 400,000 euros ($500,000), due to significant
investments in expansion of the group, and added that full-year
profit will be similar to that of last year.
At 1030 GMT shares were down 31.0 pence, or 19%, at 133.5
pence.
TANFIELD GROUP PLC (TAN.LN), a manufacturer of aerial work
platforms, has reached agreement to sell its Snorkel division by
contributing the division to a new company, Snorkel International
Holdings in which Tanfield will retain a minority interest, with
SKL Holdings LLC owning a majority interest.
Shares -3.5 pence, or 16%, at 19.0 pence.
TRADING EMISSIONS PLC (TRE.LN), a fund investing in tradable
environmental permits, expects to write down the carrying value of
its investment in Bionasa Combustivel Natural SA, which is facing
severe financial difficulties.
Shares -4.25 pence, or 20%, at 16.5 pence.
SKYEPHARMA PLC (SKP.LN), an oral and inhalation drug delivery
company, said the regulatory committee of the Japanese health
ministry has approved a combination product submitted by
GlaxoSmithKline PLC (GSK.LN) that uses Skyepharma's dry powder
formulation technology for inhalation products to treat bronchial
asthma. Skyepharma is entitled to a low single digit royalty on net
sales of products using the technology.
Shares +13.1 pence, or 15%, at 98.0 pence.
CRIMSON TIDE PLC (TIDE.LN), which provides mobile data services,
expects trading in the second half to be broadly similar to the
first half as it reported an unchanged profit and small rise in
revenue in the six months ended June 30.
Shares +0.1 pence, or 7.1%, at 1.5 pence.
ELECO PLC (ELCO.LN), a construction software and building
systems group, remains optimistic about its prospects for the full
year despite reporting a widened half-year loss.
Shares -1.0 pence, or 5.2%, at 18.25 pence.
BRAINJUICER GROUP PLC (BJU.LN), an online market researcher,
reported a 81% jump in pretax profit and said it is on track to
meet market expectations for the full year.
Shares +12.0 pence, or 4.8%, at 262.5 pence.
