    Charter European Trust PLC

    As recommended by the AIC, with effect from 1 June 2008, net asset values are calculated on both a capital and a cum-income basis.

    Charter European Trust PLC announces that at close of business on 2 June 2008: 

    1) the capital net asset value per ordinary share was 260.30p. 
    2) based on the number of shares held in treasury, the capital net asset value per ordinary share was 258.86p.
    3) the cum-income net asset value per ordinary share was 264.79p. 
    4) based on the number of shares held in treasury, the cum-income net asset value per ordinary share was 263.05p.
