                      CMG plc appoints Thomas Ivarson as

                   President of CMG Wireless Data Solutions



CMG plc, the global ICT services and mobile telecoms Group, is pleased to
announce the appointment of Thomas Ivarson as President of CMG Wireless Data
Solutions (WDS) with effect from 8 October 2001. He will be based at the WDS
headquarters in Nieuwegein in The Netherlands and will report directly to the
Group Board.

Thomas Ivarson worked for Ericsson from 1980 to 1995 where he held a number of
positions in engineering, product management & marketing and finally as
General Manager, Software for End-user Features in Local Switching Systems.
During his period with Ericsson he worked for five years with the US market at
Ericsson Telecom and Ericsson Network Systems in Dallas, Texas. The rest of
the time he worked internationally from his native Sweden as a base.

For the past five years he has been Chief Executive Officer and President of
EHPT, based in Sweden. EHPT was founded in 1993 as a joint venture between
Ericsson and Hewlett Packard and has since 1997 been a fast-growing global
software company focused on mobile and fixed communications as well as on the
Internet. EHPT provided customer management and billing applications including
service order activations, data collection of service usage, invoicing &
revenue assurance, Internet payment systems and interconnect billing.
Customers included 170 telecom operators & service providers in 80 countries
and the company had around 1,100 employees in offices across Europe, Asia,
North & South Americas.

recently international software products in the wireless and wireline data
market, covering all aspects of business management. He will be able to
leverage this experience in leading our WDS business as it positions itself to
be a global leader in wireless data solutions for existing, 2.5G and third
generation mobile networks."
