Cedar Group plc notes the recent press speculation regarding the disposal of
Carousel Leisure, the gaming division of Sword.  While the Board can confirm
that it is in very preliminary discussions with several parties, including
Gala Group Ltd., regarding the sale of the business, the details of those
discussions remain confidential at this time.   A further announcement on this
matter will follow if appropriate.
