Capital Radio plc - Board Changes

Capital Radio plc is delighted to announce the appointment of Linda Smith as an 
Executive Director of the Board with effect from 13 February 2002. Linda will 
assume the position of Commercial Director, having previously served as Managing 
Director of Capital Radio Advertising.

Linda does not hold any other directorships of public listed companies. There 
are no matters to be disclosed about Linda Smith pursuant to 6.F.2(b)-(g) of the 
Listing Rules.

In addition, Peter Mitchell has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Board. 
Peter Mitchell has been a Non-Executive Director of the Company since 1997, and 
is also Chairman of the Remuneration Committee.
