                             Suspension of Trading


The Directors of Central African Gold have noted recent press speculation. The
Company can confirm that it is in discussions with respect to a possible
acquisition which would constitute a reverse takeover under the AIM Rules.
Accordingly, the Company has requested that the London Stock Exchange suspend
trading of the Company's securities on AIM.

A further announcement will be made in due course.
