Directors Interest

The Company has been informed that Amardago 
Holdings BV (a company which is ultimately owned 
by a trust in which Ian Johnson, a Non-executive 
Director, has a beneficial interest) sold 
1,000,000 Ordinary shares at 93.5p per share on 
Monday, 16 March 1998 and 182,328 Ordinary shares 
at 93.0p today.  Following these transactions Mr. 
Johnson has an interest in 3,318,202 Ordinary 
shares representing 10.7 per cent. of the issued 
share capital of Biotrace.
