                     BROKER NETWORK HOLDINGS PLC (AIM: BNH)


                  ACQUISITION OF A J BARTER INSURANCE BROKERS



Broker Network Holdings plc ("Broker Network" or "the Company"), the network
organisation for independent community insurance brokers, is today pleased to
announce the acquisition of A J Barter Insurance Brokers ("A J Barter").



The acquisition of A J Barter is in line with Broker Network's strategy to
acquire Members whose principals are looking to exit or retire. This is the
sixth acquisition by the Company since the beginning of 2004.



The final purchase price of A J Barter is entirely dependant upon the
performance of the purchased business over the next 36 months. Broker Network
expects its total outlay to be no less than #200,000. However if performance is
exceptional this figure has been capped at #500,000. Broker Network has acquired
the trade and assets of A J Barter which last year reported revenue of #170,000



Mr Tony Barter will continue to manage the branch based in Shepton Mallett,
Somerset and all staff have been retained along with the A J Barter name. As
with all acquired Members, A J Barter will use the Acturis common electronic
trading platform recommended by Broker Network.



Commenting today, CEO Grant Ellis said:
