announcement released on 25 October 1999 at 13:57 
under RNS No 5627v. 

The purchase price in Paragraph 1 should read 113p, not 114p
as published.

Andrews Sykes Group plc has today been notified by the Trustee that  the
1998  Employee Share Ownership Plan purchased 5,000 Ordinary 20p  shares
at  113p  per  share  on 22 October 1999.  Following this  purchase  the
holding  of  the Employee Share Ownership Plan is 160,000  Ordinary  20p
shares representing 0.187% of the Company's issued share capital.

The following directors are potential beneficiaries under the scheme and
therefore are deemed to have acquired a non-beneficial interest in these
shares.

J G Murray
A Chudnoff
JR Hall

The shares are registered in the name of Worthy Trust Company Limited
A/C 1529.

Please  note  JG  Murray  should  have  been  included  as  a  potential
beneficiary in the announcements made last week with regard to purchases
by 1998 the Employee Share Ownership Plan.
