BEA - SALE OF BERGE INGERID FOR SCRAP

Bergesen has sold the tanker Berge Ingerid 357.345 dwt, built in 1977, for 
scrap.  Net contract price is about USD 5,3 million. Delivery will take place 
early March 2002.

The sales profit of about USD 3,7 million will be booked in first quarter 2002.
