BEA - CANCELLATION OF NEW DRYBULK COMPANY PLANS

Bergesen announced in a press release of 15 November 2001 that the company had 
entered into a preliminary agreement with General Ore International Corporation 
(GOIC) in order to establish a new drybulk company.

The negotiations have been terminated without result.

Bergesen will continue its existing drybulk activities unchanged.
