Perlite Canada inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: PCI) announces hereby the results for its first quarter 2010 ended on January 31, 2010 (the "1st Quarter 2010").

The Company's sales totals $1,608,171 for the 1st Quarter 2010 compared to $1,341,460 for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2009, an increase of approximately 20%.

The Company posted a net loss of $66,334 during the 1st Quarter 2010 compared to a net loss of $226,323 for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2009.

Management is satisfied by sales generated by the Company during the 1st Quarter 2010. It anticipates that the consolidation of the Company's operations to its plants located in Lachine, Quebec and Saint-Pacome, Quebec after the shut-down of its Baie-du-Febvre plant on March 1, 2010 together with its rationalisation efforts, will improve its profit margin in the next quarters.

Perlite Canada inc. has become a leading company in Canada in the processing, distribution and sale of perlite and vermiculite, two minerals used in industry and horticulture.
