Continental Airlines Announces $777 Intro Fare to Launch Newark to Shanghai Nonstop Service

Special $777 roundtrip fare available from New York and Boston;
$888 roundtrip fare from numerous other cities including Houston
and Cleveland; 10,000 mile OnePass bonus for travel in the first
week NEW YORK, Feb. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Continental
Airlines (NYSE: CAL) today announced a low introductory roundtrip
fare of $777 for its new nonstop flight to Shanghai, China from its
New York hub at Newark Liberty International Airport (subject to
government approval), scheduled to begin March 25, 2009. This new
introductory fare is also available from Boston. The roundtrip fare
to Shanghai from Houston, Cleveland, Miami, New Orleans and several
additional cities is $888. In addition, customers traveling on the
new flight between March 25 and May 31, receive 10,000 OnePass
bonus miles. Tickets must be purchased by Feb. 28, 2009, for travel
commencing March 25 through April 30, 2009. A seven-day minimum
stay is required and travel must be completed by June 30, 2009.
International taxes and fees of up to $95, passenger facility
charges of up to $18 and a Sept. 11 security fee of up to $10 will
be added to the fare. Tickets are nonrefundable, seats are limited

nonstop flights to the largest U.S.-China market that today lacks
daily service, linking the world's financial center and top
business and tourism destination with China's center for finance
and trade. The flight is timed to provide convenient roundtrip
connections at Continental's New York hub to more than 60 other
cities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Continental will operate the
nonstop flight daily with a Boeing 777-200 aircraft. Flight 87 will
depart Liberty at 11:20 a.m., arriving in Shanghai mid-afternoon
the following day at 1:45 p.m. The return flight 86 will depart
Shanghai in the afternoon at 3:45 p.m. and arrive at Liberty in the
evening of the same day at 6:20 p.m. Flying times are approximately
14 hours and 30 minutes in each direction. Continental has operated
