Item 8.01		Other Events.

On April 28, 2008, W Holding Company, Inc. (the “Company”) received notification from The NASDAQ Stock Market (“NASDAQ”) indicating that trading in the Company’s Series B, C, D, E, F, G and H preferred securities (the “Preferred Stock”) will be suspended at the opening of business on April 30, 2008 and NASDAQ will move to delist the Preferred Stock thereafter. The press release, dated April 29, 2008, is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is hereby incorporated by reference herein.
