Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced that
the company’s SQJ402EP 100 V n-channel power MOSFET and DG250x
series of precision monolithic quad single-pole single-throw (SPST)
analog switches have received China Electronic Market (CEM)
magazine’s 2014 Editors’ Choice Awards.
Winners of the 2014 CEM Editors’ Choice Awards were chosen based
on their sales performance in the Chinese market and technological
innovation. Vishay’s SQJ402EP and DG250x series were selected
because of their demonstrated success in the categories of “The
Most Competitive Solution for Auto Electronics in China” and “The
Most Competitive Solution for Wearable Devices in China,”
respectively.
Among the first AEC-Q101-qualified TrenchFET® power MOSFETs to
feature ThunderFET® technology, the Vishay Siliconix SQJ402EP
offers the lowest on-resistance values available in the compact 5
mm by 6 mm PowerPAK® SO-8L package — half the size of the DPAK — to
increase efficiency and save space in automotive applications. With
continuous drain currents to 32 A, the MOSFET is optimized for
injector boost applications in automotive engine control units and
flyback converters for lighting ballasts in lighting control units.
With low total gate charge of 34 nC typical, the SQJ402EP also
provides a low on-resistance times gate charge figure of merit
(FOM) to reduce switching losses and improve total system
efficiency.
Offered in the ultra-compact WCSP 4 bump by 4 bump array
package, the Vishay Siliconix DG2501, DG2502, and DG2503 are the
smallest SPST analog switches in the industry, saving space in
wearable electronics and sensors, and in portable healthcare,
consumer, industrial, and communication devices. Measuring 1.4 mm
by 1.4 mm with a 0.35 mm pitch and top-side lamination for
increased ruggedness, the DG2501, DG2502, and DG2503 are 50 %
smaller than the closest competing device and 95% smaller than
switches in the standard QFN16 package. The devices combine their
compact size with typical power consumption of < 0.01 µW to
prolong battery life.
CEM magazine has presented the Editors’ Choice Awards annually
since 2011. In that year, Vishay’s VJ series of non-magnetic MLCCs
won in “The Most Competitive Capacitor in China” category. In 2012,
the company’s MKP1848 metallized DC polypropylene film capacitor
and Si7655DN p-channel MOSFET took home the honors in “The Most
Competitive Capacitor in China” and “The Most Competitive Power
Devices in China” categories, respectively.
The 2014 CEM Editors’ Choice Award winners were announced in the
January 2015 issue of the magazine.
