SRA International Announces Senior Management Changes FAIRFAX, Va.,
Oct. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRA International, Inc.
(NYSE:SRX) is pleased to announce the following changes in its
executive management team. Ernst Volgenau, the founder of SRA and
Chief Executive Officer for the past 26 years, will relinquish that
position but remain Chairman. Renato A. DiPentima will become CEO
and continue as President. David A. Kriegman will become Chief
Operating Officer. Anthony M. Valletta will become Director of the
Defense Sector (the position formerly held by David Kriegman) and
will relinquish the position of Director of the Command and
Control, Communications and Intelligence (C3I) Sector. That
responsibility will be assumed by J. Patrick Burke, who has been
the Deputy Director of C3I. The changes will become effective on
January 1, 2005. In addition, David H. Langstaff (former CEO of
Veridian Corporation and elected to the SRA Board of Directors on
January 28, 2004) will become Chairman of a newly formed Long Range
Planning Committee of the SRA Board. In this role, David will focus
on our strategy for the continued growth and diversification of the
company. Ernst Volgenau said, "I am pleased with these changes.
They illustrate the depth of the SRA management team and our
careful planning for management transition. Renny DiPentima had a
distinguished career in government and has been a major contributor
to SRA for nearly ten years. David Kriegman joined our company in
1983 and has done excellent work in increasingly responsible
positions." Volgenau also added, "Relinquishing the CEO position
will enable me to devote more attention to my family, charitable
endeavors, and writing. SRA has a strong Board that regularly
challenges the management team to excel, and I shall continue to be
actively involved as Chairman." Renny DiPentima said, "I joined SRA
in 1995 because of its emphasis on honesty and service which
requires high ethical performance, quality work and customer
satisfaction, caring about employees, and serving our country. I am
honored to help carry on this tradition as CEO and to continue to
build the value of our company." These management changes will be
addressed during the quarterly earnings conference call scheduled
for Monday, November 1, 2004 at 5:00 PM. About SRA International,
