(NYSE:SRX), a leading provider of technology and strategic consulting services and solutions to federal government organizations, announced that it has been awarded a task order by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC), to provide information technology in support of the Director of Defense Research and Engineering (DDR&E). The task order, awarded under the Chief Information Officer Solutions and Partners 2 Innovations (CIO-SP2i) contract, has an estimated value of $30.6 million over five years if all options are exercised. The Director of Defense Research and Engineering manages a $70 billion research enterprise and serves as the Chief Technology Officer for DoD. Since 1997, SRA has worked with DDR&E to reengineer research and engineering program processes to achieve greater mission effectiveness and standardize data to promote interoperability, minimize duplication, and enhance management decisions.
