Company to Provide Services to Defense Technical Information Center FAIRFAX, Va., Sept. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRA International, Inc. (NYSE:SRX), a leading provider of technology and strategic consulting services and solutions to federal government organizations, announced that it has been awarded a task order by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC), to provide information technology in support of the Director of Defense Research and Engineering (DDR&E). The task order, awarded under the Chief Information Officer Solutions and Partners 2 Innovations (CIO-SP2i) contract, has an estimated value of $30.6 million over five years if all options are exercised. The Director of Defense Research and Engineering manages a $70 billion research enterprise and serves as the Chief Technology Officer for DoD. Since 1997, SRA has worked with DDR&E to reengineer research and engineering program processes to achieve greater mission effectiveness and standardize data to promote interoperability, minimize duplication, and enhance management decisions. Under this new task order, SRA services will include program management; business process reengineering; information management requirements analysis, design, and development; enterprise architecture; and data standardization and administration. SRA will also maintain and enhance a knowledge and information management system which provides a Web-based capability to track, collaborate, report, and assimilate data and information and supports business process automation.
