PR Newswire (US)
FAIRFAX, Va., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRA International,
Inc. (NYSE:SRX), a leading provider of information technology (IT)
services and solutions to federal government organizations, today
announced a mentor- protege agreement with Command Decisions
Systems & Solutions (CDS2), under the U.S. Department of
Homeland Security (DHS) Mentor-Protege program. The DHS
Mentor-Protege program was created to encourage large, established
prime contractors to develop the technical and management
capabilities of small, disadvantaged businesses. Under this
three-year agreement, SRA will provide developmental assistance and
mentoring to CDS2 in areas such as marketing and business
development, technical training and professional development,
contract administration, and human resources. "SRA has always been
a strong supporter of small businesses, and we look forward to
helping CDS2 enhance its capabilities and understanding of the
government IT marketplace," said Renny DiPentima, SRA President and
CEO. "The mentor-protege program not only helps smaller companies
to compete and win new business, it also develops IT partnerships
that both companies can use to better support our clients." CDS2 is
a women-owned business that has been certified by the Small
Business Administration as a Small Disadvantaged Business and
Section 8(a) company. The company, founded in 1994, is based in

currently works with SRA on contracts for defense and homeland
security clients. As part of the mentor-protege agreement, SRA will
actively seek to identify other subcontracting opportunities on
existing and future contracts. "CDS2 is excited about the potential
opportunities and enhancement of our practices that can result from
this Mentor-Protege relationship," said CDS2 President Barbara
Hennessy. "We expect that working with the proven processes and
methodologies of a market leader like SRA will help us further
develop our capabilities in engineering, technical and program
management support services, IT insertion, deployment and
management, and infrastructure security and protection." About SRA
