MISTRAS Group Awarded Fleet-Wide Contract by Southern Nuclear for Radiography Services

MISTRAS Group, Inc. (NYSE:MG) announced the award of a multi-year
contract to provide Fleet Radiography services to Southern Nuclear,
the nuclear energy operating subsidiary of Southern Company
(NYSE:SO).
The agreement emphasizes the experience of MISTRAS' extensive
Computed Radiography (CR) and Digital Radiography (DR) inspection
services portfolio. The scope of work includes, but is not limited
to, Balance of Plant (BOP), Flow Accelerated Corrosion (FAC)
programs, in-service and vendor location inspection services.
Southern Nuclear operates three key facilities, Farley, Hatch
and Vogtle, which provide approximately 20 percent of Alabama and
Georgia's electricity use. Southern Nuclear will operate
Plant Voglte units 3 and 4 upon completion, currently under
construction by Georgia Power, an Electric Utility of Southern
Company.
